Blue Sky to offer technical structured product sessions to PFS members

Hannah Stodell
Blue Sky Asset Management is offering technical training sessions at two forthcoming Personal Finance Society investment strategy conferences.

The firm will contribute technical training sessions on understanding structured investments, within full day training events designed to assist diploma level advisers in their role managing client investment portfolios.

The BSAM presentation will include an overview of the UK structured products industry and will take an ‘under the bonnet’ look at structured investments. It will also cover counterparty risk and structured investments in portfolio planning.

More widely the conferences will help advisers understand the extent of their role in managing client investment portfolios, including key asset allocation considerations, the pros and cons of offering a discretionary management service, fund manager selection and monitoring, the importance of tax in investment planning and ways of enhancing the value of an advice business post-RDR.

The Conferences will be held on July 9 at the Chartered Insurance Institute in London and July 14 at Edgbaston Cricket Club in Birmingham.
