Aviva property funds move to offer basis

Chris Salih

Aviva Investors has announced that the group’s property trust and property investment fund have been moved back to an offer basis.

Aviva Investors property trust and property investment fund manager Phil Neil says: “Having used our sales programme to sell non-core assets, we now have a well balanced portfolio of over 70 properties, which gives us a firm base from which to build long-term performance. Current market pricing offers excellent long term opportunities, but with a lack of sellers, competition for deals is increasing (particularly at the prime end).

“With a large balanced portfolio we can add enormous value through active investment, whilst also looking at opportunities to acquire new assets where we feel our active management approach can be fully exploited. We are not forced buyers, which is an excellent position to be in.”
