Ashcourt Rowan chairman resigns

Ashcourt Rowan chairman Peter Dew has resigned and stepped down from the board of directors.

The wealth manager firm has appointed independent director of the company Kenneth “Buzz” West as interim chairman.

Buzz West says: “Peter has tirelessly served the best interests of the company over the last five years and has helped guide the company towards its successful new strategic focus. Our core wealth management Ashcourt Rowan service is now making excellent progress in the market and we have an exceptionally strong operational team well represented on the board. We now look forward to building out further the board so that the group’s long term strategic goals can be best delivered and the momentum within the Ashcourt Rowan brand best leveraged.”

Prior to joining the Board of Ashcourt Rowan in August 2006, Dew was also chairman of Unicorn Asset Management.

Dew has acted as a non-executive director, an executive director and interim Group CEO. Prior to being appointed Chairman in April 2010, Peter additionally chaired the Risk Committee.
