Aifa chairman John Gummer dragged into expenses row

Aifa chaiman and Conservative MP John Gummer has been dragged into the expenses row for claiming £9,000 on gardening, the Telegraph reports.

The Tory MP for Suffolk coastal reportedly spent part of his expense bill on getting rid of moles at his country estate.

Parliamentary under-secretary at the Department for Work and Pensions Kitty Ussher, who was previously a Treasury minister, has also been in the headlines this weekend for allegedly claiming £20,000 to renovate her Victorian townhouse.

Tory shadow home secretary Chris Grayling, who was previously shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, reportedly claimed thousands renovating his central London flat although his constituency home is 17 miles from Westminster.
