Northern Rock cuts mortgage rates

Northern Rock has reduced some of its mortgage products by as much as 0.40 per cent from today.

Selected two-year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.40 per cent and selected two-year trackers will be reduced by 0.10 per cent.

Northern Rock head of mortgage products Lloyd Cochrane said: “As these rate reductions show, we are committed to providing a wide and varied range of mortgages to meets the needs of both homebuyers and borrowers looking to remortgage.”

Northern Rock fixed rates start from 3.59 per cent, and trackers start from 2.65 per cent.
