Mortgage Brain to launch B2C sourcing tool

Mortgage Brain is launching a business to consumer sourcing system in 2010.

The web-based solution, Mortgage Brain B2C, will allow consumers to source, compare, select and enquire about mortgages.

The system, due to launch early next year, is available via web services or as a customisable ‘plug-in’ built to fit into an existing website’s design.

Mortgage Brain chief executive Mark Lofthouse says: “Mortgage Brain B2C is a comprehensive online sourcing system that has been designed specifically with the consumer in mind. It covers the whole of the market, is easy to use, incredibly accurate and will offer consumers the certainty and confidence that they’re sourcing a mortgage that best suits their needs.”

  • To anon, personally I think it is a very good idea. If the only thing an intermediary adds is information that costs £15pm (I think that is roughly what mortgage brain and similar systems offer), then mortgage intermediaries deserve to go out of business. I am happy for my clients to have (and prefer in fact as the xchange used to do a slimed down version of a research system cleints could access through websites in 2004 pre FSA) access to the same info as I do, they can then do as much or as little work as they like researching and then we can add value be explaing where their own research suing teh SAME data may be flawed ort just confirm they've got it about right and charge accordingley.
