Lloyds chief Eric Daniels may get £6m in salary and bonuses

Lloyds Banking Group chief executive Eric Daniels is set to receive up to £6m in salary and bonuses this month.

According to reports, the Government-backed bank’s chief will net a £1m basic salary and could earn up to 225 per cent of his basic salary in bonuses.

Daniels could receive further awards under the bank’s long-term incentive, which is determined by profit and share-price performance, netting a maximum of 300 per cent of basic salary.

However, a spokesman for Lloyds said that no decision had been made on 2009 payouts yet.

He said: “No decisions have been taken about potential executive bonus outcomes for 2009, and any decision will be taken by the independent remuneration committee.”
