Barclays gives intermediaries access to underwriters

Barclays is giving intermediaries access to underwriters for every residential mortgage application they submit.

The service launches on January 23 and will give intermediaries direct access to a dedicated underwriter for each application who will manage the case through to offer.

Barclays intermediary managing director David Finlay says: “We have listened to brokers about further enhancements and today’s announcement ensures they have access to the person who will make the important lending decisions.  We believe this will give them clarity in seconds and will deliver excellent service to the broker and their clients as well.”
