HML interim chief executive Andrew Jones has been given the job permanently.

Jones has been doing the job for the past three months, since former chief executive Brian Brodie vacated the post in November. Chief commercial and finance officer Neil Warman left the firm at the same time as Brodie.

Last month, Money Marketing was first to report HML’s parent, Skipton Building Society, had taken the mortgage servicer off the market after nearly a year of trying to offload the business.

HML chairman Mark Fleet says: “Andrew has done a tremendous job in leading HML for the last few months and I believe he is the right person to drive the business forward. The experience he has gained working across HML, and also building relationships across the Group, leaves him extremely well placed to lead the organisation to achieve its true potential.”

Jones says: “HML is a great company with a bright future and I am proud to be leading it into its next phase of development.

“The last three months have given me the chance to talk to our clients and find out what they need from us to develop their businesses over the coming years.”
