Ignis Asset Management sales and marketing director Jonathan Polin is leaving the firm.
Polin (pictured), who has been at Ignis for seven years, will leave at the end of July.In the meantime all sales and marketing activity will be overseen by Ignis chief executive Chris Samuel.
Polin says: “After 7 years at Ignis, which has been a fantastic time, it’s time to move on to do something else. In that time, I built a joint-venture business and I’ve had a fantastic run from nowhere to somewhere. There are other things that I want to go and do.”
He added: “The focus of the Ignis business is now re-aligning and it is the right time for me to do something new. I will always feel passionate about the future for Ignis and thank the whole team for their loyalty and support over the years.”
Polin would not comment on any future roles within the industry.

Last month Money Marketing revealed that head of discretionary sales Jon Garland would leave Ignis, following former Ignis head of marketing Rob Page, who left in April to join ex-Liontrust managers Jeremy Lang and William Pattisson at Ardevora.
He joined Ignis when it was Britannic Asset Management in 2004 from Aberdeen Asset Management.
Polin is known for setting up a number of boutique strategies at Ignis, such as European investors Argonaut Capital Management and UK equity investors Cartesian Capital Partners.
