Zurich appoints Cecilia Reyes as chief investment officer

Zurich Financial Services has appointed Cecilia Reyes as chief investment officer.

Reyes will report to chief executive officer Martin Senn, whom she is succeeding in the role. Senn assumed the position of chief executive on January 1.

Reyes has been head of investment strategy implementation since April 2006. She joined Zurich in January 2001 as regional manager for group
investments with responsibility for North America, and became regional manager for Europe and international businesses in July 2004. Reyes previously worked for ING and Credit Suisse.

Senn says: “Cecilia combines deep substantive knowledge with a profound understanding of Zurich’s strategy and culture. She has played a key role in the Group’s successful investment management strategy, and we are confident that she is the right person to continue driving it forward. We are also proud that her selection underscores the depth and strength of Zurich’s senior management team.”
