UKFI head of market investments quits
UK Financial Investments head of market investments John Compton has quit.
Compton joined UKFI in November 2008 from Merrill Lynch where he is currently managing director and head of equity capital markets for EMEA.
While at UKFI, Compton was responsible for the management of the Government’s shareholdings in those banks which subscribed to its recapitalisation scheme and which retain a stockmarket listing.
He was also be responsible for devising and executing a strategy for selling those stakes when appropriate.
