Turner quits Collins Stewart and joins Williams at MAM
Collins Stewart head of UK small and mid-cap equities Martin Turner has left to join MAM Funds.
MoneyMarketing.co.uk rev-ealed on Monday Turner will co-manage the diverse income trust alongside Gervais Williams.
The fund will focus on quoted UK small and mid-caps, holding 1-1.5 per cent of the total portfolio in each investment. It will also invest in UK micro-sectors.
The diverse income trust, which saw its listing on the London Stock Exchange finalised in April, issued 100 million shares priced at 50p each and met its capital-raising target of £50m last month.
Managing director Williams says: “The scale of our ambition is underlined by the app-ointment of individuals of this calibre.”
The appointment follows the recruitment of ex-Schroders head of UK retail sales Neil Bridge as head of business dev-elopment and former Gartmore marketing manager Mark Harper as head of marketing.
Hargreaves Lansdown investment manager Ben Yearsley says: “Williams joined MAM with a view to diversify it away from the funds of funds and multi-asset funds they have had in the past.”
