Investec separates marketing of deposits/structured investments
Investec Structured Products has separated its deposit and investment plans in the marketing literature of its latest tranche of products to highlight the differences in the structures.
The deposit guide contains plans that are designed to complement cash based savings products whereas the investment guide contains plans that are designed to complement investment portfolios.
The full collection of plans is open for investment until May 28. Product terms have reduced across the range due to lower interest rates and low equity market volatility. Some of the plans also carry slightly reduced adviser commissions.
Head of intermediary sales Gary Dale says: “Following the FSA’s review of structured investment products last October, we have decided to provide separate adviser guides for our deposit and investment plans. There are fundamental differences between both types of structure, which the FSA have clearly defined, so we felt it was important to highlight these differences within more tailored IFA literature”.
