Schroders to launch strategic bond fund

Bob Jolly
Schroders is to launch a strategic bond fund for ex-GLG manager Gareth Isaac and former UBS head Bob Jolly.
The Schroder strategic bond fund will invest in fixed income, government bonds, investment grade corporates, high yield corporates and emerging market debt of both governments and credit.
Senior portfolio manager Gareth Isaac will manage the fund alongside alternative manager Bob Jolly, the head of global macro.
Schroders managing director of UK intermediary Robin Stoakley says: “This fund is ideal for fixed income investors seeking higher performance potential and is an excellent way to diversify from an allocation to pure equities.”
Isaac says: “Against a backdrop of rock bottom interest rates in the western world combined with low yields on money market and government bonds, investors are turning their attention to alternative fixed income asset classes such as investment grade and high yield bonds for better returns.”
No details of charges or minimum investment were available at the time of writing.
