Saltus hires O’Grady from Williams De Broe
Saltus Fund Management has appointed Williams De Broe director and head of sales and marketing Robin O’Grady as a partner in the business.
O’Grady has been tasked with building the group’s presence in both the IFA and third party provider community in the south and south-west of England
He had been at Williams De Broe for the past 11 years he also helped launch the Christows professional intermediary sales division in 1999, which now has £1.5bn of assets. He has also worked at both Schroders and Prudential in his 35 year career in financial services.
O’Grady says: “It’s impossible to ignore the changes and challenges facing the UK financial services sector at this time and the business opportunities that these changes offer the independent advice market. I quite simply joined Saltus because I think they have the service, portfolio management talent and values that should stand out in a post RDR world.”

I wish Robin the best, having known him from the Christows (pre WdeB) days. It is a difficult market, but current economic activity is making the client and intermediary seriously consider alternatives to the "regular" and larger players.
