Rathbones opens office in Aberdeen
Rathbone Investment Management has opened a new office in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The Aberdeen team will include John Henderson, former head of Rathbones’ Edinburgh office, and two former Brewin Dolphin investment directors Norman Law and Meera Dennis.
Rathbones manages investment portfolios for over 30,000 private clients, charities and trustees across 11 offices in the UK including Edinburgh, its largest office outside London by funds under management.
Rathbone Brothers chief executive Andy Pomfret says: “Our offices in Scotland account for more than 10 per cent of the firm’s funds under management and they have grown rapidly in recent years, most recently with the business transferring under an agreement reached with Lloyds last year with regards to its former Bank of Scotland portfolio management clients.
“The rate at which these clients agreed to move to Rathbones and the goodwill we have encountered amongst them, only increases our belief that what we have to offer is very attractive to individuals.”
