Pimco launches UK retail fund range

Pimco has launched a Ucits III fund range for retail investors through Aegon’s investment platform.
Pimco Select sees the launch of a global bond fund under the management of Scott Mather and the UK corporate bond fund managed by Luke Spajic.
The funds launched as part of the Pimco Select fund range will mirror those existing offerings on the Dublin-based Global Investor Series platform.
Pimco says the tie-up with Aegon for the move into the UK retail space is the first in a series of strategic tie-ups for Pimco Select. All funds launched offer same day pricing.
Pimco UK managing director and head of Pimco UK business Joe McDevitt says: “For the first time in its 11 years in the UK, Pimco’s global managers and top performing funds will be available to the UK retail market via insurance, savings and DC plans. The insurance and unit-linked markets are the largest and fastest growing segments of the pooled funds market in the UK and the launch of Pimco Select marks an important development for us in extending our investment management expertise directly to the UK retail sector.”
