Nemesis appoints former Lehman Brothers CEO
Nemesis Asset Management has appointed former Lehman Brothers CEO Rob Sargent as the head of asset management in the UK.
Sargent was both CEO and business head for Lehman Brothers Asset Management for Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
Sargent has also worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management for 18 years, latterly as CEO of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia. Most recently, he has been head of asset management at Gulf International Bank.
He will report to Nemesis Asset Management CEO Pier-Alberto Furno.
Furno says: “I am delighted that Robert is joining us and it will be a pleasure to work with him again after four years we worked together at Lehman Brothers. To attract a senior executive of Robert’s calibre and experience is a testament to the work we have done to build Nemesis into the successful firm it is today.
“Our performance has been outstanding across the board – in some cases more than doubling the benchmark returns – and we must now look to build on this and start growing the business. Robert’s appointment will allow us to grow the businesses simultaneously in London and Monaco.”
