LGT Capital Partners set for Ucits III fund launch

LGT Capital Partners is to launch a Ucits version of its crown managed futures fund.

The fund is set for launch of May 4, 2010, and will provide exposure to hedge fund managers investing in commodities, equities, fixed income and foreign exchange.

LGT says the fund will be similar to its flagship crown managed futures fund, which was launched in October 2000. The new version will achieve exposure through a Ucits eligible index of 15 managed accounts, which the firm says will provide transparency and liquidity.

LGT Capital partner says: “Managed futures offer true diversification and we believe they are a valuable component of investors’ portfolios in all market environments. Allocating to this space can reduce volatility and market risk of a portfolio, helping to generate superior risk adjusted returns.“
