Langridge takes Jupiter emerging market role
Jupiter has recruited Kathryn Langridge from Lloyd George and is planning the launch of a global emerging markets fund.
Langridge, who will join the emerging markets desk at Jupiter in September, has been at Lloyd George since 2007, managing long-only emerging market equity investment portfolios.
She is best known for her time at Invesco Perpetual, where she spent 17 years in a number of roles including head of Asian investments and head of international equity products.
The emerging markets team at Jupiter currently manages eight mutual funds, including China, Japan and emerging European opportunities It has a total of £1.2bn of assets in the Gem sector.
Jupiter chief investment officer John Chatfeild-Roberts says: “We have built substantial expertise in emerging markets over the past decade and we now have highly regarded offerings in many of the key emerging markets of the world.”
Jupiter has also promoted Alastair Gunn and Rhys Petheram to co-managers of the £269m distribution fund alongside Tony Nutt and John Hamilton. The distribution fund is second quartile in the IMA cautious managed sector over three years.
