Philip Gibbs

Philip Gibbs is to step down from running all his remaining Jupiter financial funds to allow him to solely focus on running his absolute return funds.

From the end of this month, Richard Mumby will take over as the lead manager of the Jupiter international financials fund and become co-manager of the financial opportunities fund alongside Guy de Blonay.

De Blonay, who took over the financial opportunities fund in January from Gibbs, will be appointed as deputy manager of the international financials fund and the offshore Jupiter Global Financials fund. Mumby has simultaneously been appointed as de Blonay’s deputy on Financial Opportunities.

Mumby joined Jupiter in 2006 and currently runs the financials portfolio of the group’s global managed fund. He also took over as the lead manager of Global Financials Sicav in August last year.

Gibbs will now solely run the Jupiter absolute return fund and the Jupiter second split investment trust.
