Jubilee launch bucks 'FTSE-centric' trend

Structured product provider Jubilee Financial Products is looking at a number of new launches outside the UK.

Associate partner Jakob Bronebakk says investors’ portfolios are too FTSE-centric and they should consider alternative index exposure.

He says: “It is fine to have the majority of your portfolio in your home market but it needs to be diversified to reduce the overall risk.”

Bronebakk says the firm’s latest product, which links to the Euro Stoxx 50, was driven by good pricing and by IFA demand for an alternative to the FTSE 100. He says the firm would like to capitalise on opportunities in the US market in future launches.
