JOHIM appoints Spencer House Capital Management duo
J O Hambro Investment Management has appointed Spencer House Capital Management duo Charles Martyn-Hemphill and Will Kenney as global equity managers.
SHCM is currently the investment manager of the Spencer House Capital Management Fund, which is a Ucits umbrella investment company authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as a Ucits and is also on the Irish Stock Exchange. The fund also has a sub-fund, the SHCM global equity fund.
The directors of the fund have approved the change of SHCM as investment manager and the appointment of JOHIM in its place. This means that Martyn-Hemphill and Kenney will continue to manage the fund and sub-fund as well as running global equity segregated mandates for private clients and other pooled investment clients.
Prior to joining SHCM in 2006, Martyn-Hemphill had worked at the likes of Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Asset Management, where he was managing director and head of the global select equity team. Kenney also joined in 2006 as a founding partner at SHCM, he worked with Martyn-Hemphill for six years at Deutsche Asset Management.
JOHIM chief executive Hugh Grootenhuis says: “The appointments of Charles Martyn-Hemphill and Will Kenney bring a wealth of additional global fund management experience to our team and we look forward to welcoming those investors in the sub fund that accompany them.”
