Hargreaves Lansdown head of Vantage and broking operations quits

Hargreaves Lansdown managing director of Vantage and broking operations Andrew Christian has left the firm after 19 years.

Christain joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 1991, and worked initially on the investment helpdesk before moving to Hargreaves Lansdown stockbrokers in 1992 as a dealer. Christian was appointed director of Hargreaves Lansdown stockbrokers in 1998. He took over responsibility for all Vantage operations in 2003.

Chief executive Peter Hargreaves said “Andrew has worked for the firm for 19 years and been responsible for building up our stockbroking business.  He leaves on extremely friendly terms.  We all wish Andrew the best for the future and thank him for all the work he has carried out for Hargreaves Lansdown over the years.”

Christian’s shareholding in the group remains subject to the lock up provisions he entered into when Hargreaves Lansdown floated in May 2007.
