Goldman to cap bonuses at £1m

Goldman Sachs is expected to limit bonuses for its London-based staff to £1m.

According to the Telegraph, the global bank is expected to announce this week that it will cap bonuses at £1m for those employees likely to be affected by Chancellor Alistair Darling’ super tax.

In December’s pre-Budget report Darling said that he is to impose a 50 per cent levy on bonuses over £25,000.
