First round bids made for RBS Asset Management

Royal Bank of Scotland is in the process of selling-off its asset management arm with a number of first round bids being made the business.

According to reports in The Times, Morgan Stanley is advising RBS on the sale of the £30bn division of the bank.

Aberdeen Asset Management, BlackRock, Schroders, Henderson and Neuberger Berman have all tabled first round offer for the asset management division, which is believed to be worth between £250m to £300m.
