Financial Express and Style Research offer fund monitor

Financial Express has launched a joint initiative with independent investment research software firm Style Research to offer a wider range of quantitative tools for its Analytics users.

The venture will give Financial Express users access to Style Research’s holdings and returns-based analysis of 5,000 European registered equity funds.

Style Research breaks down fund holdings to decipher inv-estment bias, exposure to market capitalisation and sectors. It also covers areas such as risk, tracking error, volatility, beta and funds’ ethical stance. The aim is to improve the ability to monitor funds and conduct due diligence such as ensuring a fund adheres to risk and style remits.

Financial Express managing director Michael Holland says: “With the advent of the RDR, IFAs need to create a paper trail tracking investment recommendations.”
Style Research founder Robert Schwob says: “This information will give users the edge needed to meet and surpass client and regulatory requirements.”
