Fidelity appoints L&G’s Ben Waterhouse as head of UK wholesale sales

Fidelity has appointed Ben Waterhouse as head of UK wholesale sales.
Waterhouse joins from L&G Investment Management, where he has been head of sales for the mutual fund business for the UK intermediary market since 2005.
Waterhouse will be responsible for building Fidelity’s relationships with wealth managers, retail banks, insurers and the discretionary market. He will work with head of UK retail sales Peter Hicks, who has been managing this area in the interim.
Waterhouse will report to Fidelity UK managing director Gary Shaughnessy when he joins the firm.
Shaughnessy says: “Ben has clearly demonstrated his ability to generate mutual fund sales and build strong business partnerships.
“This is an important and growing part of the market for us and with Ben’s expertise we will be able to focus in greater depth on the services that we offer and on tailoring our investment expertise to the needs of these clients.”
