Ex-Threadneedle European specialist Phil Cliff joins M&G

Phil Cliff has joined M&G Investments and will manage the M&G European dividend fund.

Cliff joins from Occam Asset Management, recently acquired by Liontrust, where he was head of European equities. He was previously a European equity investment manager at Threadneedle.

In his new role, Cliff will work closely with Stuart Rhodes, and will free up current manager Richard Halle to concentrate on European value portfolios.

Dave Fishwick, head of macro and equity investment at M&G, says: “His appointment also enables Richard who has done an excellent job on the M&G Pan European Dividend fund to dedicate himself fully to his highly successful value approach to European equities.”
