Ex-Schroders head joins MAM

Former Schroders head of UK retail sales Neil Bridge is joining MAM Funds as head of business development.

Bridge will work alongside head of distribution John Alex-ander and distribution director Graham Hooper. He left Schroders at the end of last year after more than 21 years at the asset manager. He joins MAM Funds on May 4 and will be based in the firm’s Liverpool office.

Former Gartmore marketing manager Mark Harper is also joining MAM as head of marketing. He joins on May 30 and will be based in the firm’s Reading office.

The appointments come as MAM announces its preliminary results for the year to December 31, 2010. MAM reported profits of £400,000 for last year compared with a £7m loss in 2009.

Hargreaves Lansdown head of research Mark Dampier says: “Neil has a wealth of experience and the group needs someone who can get the fund range out to the market.”
