Ex-Gartmore chief Pursglove joins Goldman Sachs
Richard Pursglove, formerly head of UK retail at Gartmore, has joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management to head up its UK third party distribution business.
In his new role, Pursglove will lead a team of nine to help build out the company’s UK third party distribution business.
Nick Phillips, head of third party distribution in Europe Middle East & Africa for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, says the third party market is a
“strategic priority” for the asset manager.
He says: “His knowledge and experience span a broad range of channels and products in the UK retail market. I believe he will add great value to our clients.”
Pursglove was not among the Gartmore staff that joined Henderson Global Investors this year following its acquisition.
