Duffield hits back over tribunal claims

Ex-New Star boss John Duffield has set out his own response to the unfair dismissal claim brought to an employment tribunal by former fund manager Patrick Evershed.
On a new website, Duffield says he was not a party to the litigation brought against New Star owners Henderson Global Investors nor was he called as a witness to the tribunal, which was settled out of court earlier this month.
Duffield says the reporting of the case - settled earlier into the New Star submission - had “inevitably left a one-sided view in the public mind”.
The former New Star boss refutes a number of the allegations made during the course of the tribunal on the website www.john-duffield.co.uk.
He says he does not intend to comment any further on the matters.
