Churchlow takes head role at LGIM

Legal and General Investment Management has appointed Robert Churchlow as head of active equities.

He takes over from Mark Burgess who is joining Threadneedle as chief investment officer, replacing Sarah Arkle.

Churchlow, who was responsible for the UK desk, will continue to manage the £15m UK absolute return and £223m growth funds. He joined LGIM in 2003 from Invesco, where he was head of UK institutional equities. He managed UK equity portfolios and the in-house panEuropean equity research team at Royal & Sun Alliance IM.

LGIM’s active equity business has £10bn worth of assets.
