Carmignac appoints country head for UK launch
Carmignac Gestion has hired Matthew Wright as head of country for the UK, ahead of the opening of its London office next month.
Wright joins from LV= Asset Management where he was head of sales.
In his new role, Wright will work with distributors and wealth managers reporting to Davide Fregonese, global head of sales and marketing.
Wright, who previously worked for Fidelity and UBS, will build up the French asset manager’s sales team.
Eric Helderlé, general manager of Carmignac Gestion, says the UK will be a key market for the company.
He adds: “This development is a continuation of our long-term business model which has seen Carmignac Gestion established across 10 European countries over 20 years.
“UK investors are increasingly appreciating the value of investing globally. Our funds provide the opportunity to diversify investment portfolios.”
