Barings manager Harte leaves after fund merger

Colin Harte
Colin Harte, manager of the £74m Barings absolute return global bond trust, has left the company following the merger of the fund into the £162m Barings multi asset fund.
The asset manager says following the consultation period around the closure of the fund, there was “no longer a position” for Harte.
Dagmar Dvorak will take over management of the £203m Barings global bond trust with support from head of global portfolio construction group Harjeet Hee.
A spokesman says: “Dagmar has been the co-manager on the fund for the last year and has been lead manager on the Baring International Bond fund for the last two years.”
The merger was announced earlier this year, having been launched in 2004.
