Alliance Trust appoints finance director

Alliance Trust has appointed Alan Trotter as finance director.
Trotter will join the firm in early 2010 and will become a member of the board of directors.
He is currently group corporate development director at Legal & General Group where he is also responsible for the UK central finance function.
Alliance Trust chairman Lesley Knox says: “I am delighted to welcome Alan to the board of Alliance Trust. His extensive experience in the financial services sector and a proven track record in senior positions in the industry make him an ideal candidate to take on the role of finance director of Alliance Trust.”
