Aegon reappoints Stephen Snowden
Aegon Asset Management has reappointed Stephen Snowden seven years after he left the firm to join Old Mutual Asset Managers.
Snowden will focus on investment grade market and will report to joint head of fixed income David Roberts.
Snowden had been responsible for the OMAM corporate bond fund since 2004. Prior to his he was at Aegon where he headed the retail fixed income desk.
Roberts says: ‘Stephen is recognised by the industry and his peers as one of the best corporate bond stock-pickers in the market. He shares the same ethos and values as us and will be a great addition to our award winning team as we look to expand our range and capabilities in to new markets.
OMAM has appointed Christine Johnson as interim manager on the fund. Johnson, who also manages the OMAM dynamic bond fund, will work closely with head of fixed interest Stewart Cowley.
