ABI appoints Alain Dromer as investment committee chairman
The Association of British Insurers has appointed Aviva Investors chief executive Alain Dromer as investment committee chairman.
Dromer replaces Standard Life chief executive Keith Skeoch, who is stepping down from the chairman role after completing three years in office. Dromer takes on the role from September 15, 2010.
Dromer will join the Board of the ABI, alongside Aviva’s Group chief executive, Andrew Moss who has been a board member since 2007.
Moss says: “The ABI’s members are playing a crucial role in helping to secure recovery from the recent financial crisis and I am certain that Alain will play an important role in ensuring that this good work continues and that the contribution the asset management and insurance sectors make to the economic health of the nation is clearly explained and fully understood.”
