Aberdeen in talks to buy RBS fund unit

Aberdeen Asset Management is in the running for Royal Bank of Scotland’s fund arm, according to reports. 

Rivals Schroders and hedge fund giant Schroders are other names also thought to be bidding for the business. 

Reports suggest RBS is looking to offload the £28bn business before the end of the first quarter for around £80-100m.
