Pru to offer free investment seminars for IFAs

Prudential is to host a series of seminars around the subject of investment within pensions in conjunction with Old Broad Street Research and software provider O&M Solutions.

The ‘Managing Investment Risk for Retirement’ seminars are designed for financial advisers and planners and will be held at 11 locations across the UK in March.

They are aimed at advisers who may want to select funds themselves, select from an independent ‘best buy’ list of funds, subcontract out investment work, develop their use of pension transfer systems and ensure a robust advice process.

The seminars will provide two and-a-half hours of CPD credits. The initiative follows recent findings by Pru that 50 per cent of advisers would welcome support from providers on asset allocation and fund selection.

Pru head of business development for retirement income Vince Smith-Hughes says: “If you’re an adviser involved in the transfer market and want to pick up some very useful TCF-friendly guidance on how to avoid advice risks while providing maximum value to your clients, then these free seminars are likely to be of some considerable benefit.”

Advisers can register at www.prudentialregistration.co.uk.
