MetLife UK chief administration officer John Cacchioli dies
MetLife UK chief administration officer John Cacchioli has died.
Cacchioli, who was 53 years old and married with two children, was responsible for the insurer’s IT, operations and service in the UK. He also headed MetLife UK’s corporate social responsibility programme.
MetLife executive vice-president Shailendra Ghorpade says:“I know that all of John’s MetLife colleagues around the world and people throughout the financial services industry who knew him will be deeply shocked and saddened by this loss.
“John played a fundamental part in MetLife’s success as a business and his leadership, skills and experience were exemplary. Ultimately however he will be remembered as a true gentleman and a great friend. Our thoughts are with his family.”
Cacchioli started his career in the financial services industry in 1976 as a senior underwriter at Abbey Life and held a range of senior operational positions including customer services and main board director at Zurich Financial Services.
He joined MetLife more than three years ago from UNISYS where he worked for a number of clients as outsourcing service delivery director.
