Ex-Macquarie wrap head Nash to develop platform for Zurich
Zurich Financial Services Group has recruited former Macquarie head of product and proposition for wraps and wealth management Adrian Nash to develop its platform.
It plans to launch the platform, designed for retail investors and the corporate savings market, later this year.
Nash has been appointed as head of wealth propositions at the insurer. He will be responsible for developing and marketing retail pensions and investments, in addition to leading work on the plat- form proposition.
Nash was at Macquarie for five years and has also worked as a wrap industry consultant for Axa Elevate. He has also led the platform development for various life companies.
Nash will report to Zurich chief growth officer for UK Life David Etherington.
Etherington says: “I am delighted to welcome Adrian on board. His combination of skills and breadth of experience will be an enormous asset in helping us to achieve the delivery of our platform later this year.”
In November, Macquarie announced the closure of its UK wrap platform and adviser support service Veracity.
In January, John Baxter led a management buyout of Veracity.
