CII marks chartered centenary

The Chartered Insurance Institute is marking the 100th anniversary of it being granted the Royal Charter with a centenary golf challenge.

The event will take place over seven regional heats with the final at Cameron House at Loch Lomond.

Teams of four can play in the heats provided team members are chartered professionals such as chartered financial planners, chartered insurance brokers or chartered insurers. Solicitors and barristers can also make up a team.

A maximum number of 10 teams can play at each regional heat, which will be held at the Hayston golf course near Glasgow, Slaley Hall in Northumberland, Staverton Park in Northamptonshire, Herons Reach in Blackpool, Wokefield Park in Reading, Hadley Wood in Hertfordshire, and Dunston Hall in Norwich.

The cost of entry per team is £280, which will cover the costs of the event plus contributions to the CII’s insurance charities which provide support to former or retired insurance employees, such as those who are unable to work through illness.

CII chartered centenary steering group co-chair Robert Reid says: “Marking the centenary in this way is aimed at raising awareness of Chartered members and encourages working with other professions.”
