Macquarie sets up RDR service for advisers

Christopher Jarvis
Macquarie has set up a support service to help advisers transform their businesses in line with the retail distribution review.

Veracity Asset Transformation will be led by John Baxter, who joined Macquarie in March after leading the True Financial Planning and MLP planning businesses.

The service will help IFAs redefine their client proposition, provide a detailed review of legacy assets, adopt new model portfolios and deal with paperwork.

Baxter says: "Many adviser firms are telling us that they embrace the RDR principles, but do not have the knowhow and resources to accomplish the transition successfully, especially without affecting profitability. Veracity supports advisers to make the transition to the new model, creating a more sustainable and valuable business better placed to deliver quality, ongoing advice."
