Ashley Law is joining Intrinsic wealth service

National IFA franchise Ashley Law is to join Intrinsic Financial Services to become a founder member of the network's IFA wealth management business.

Privately-owned Ashley Law will join Intrinsic Group as part of plans to increase its franchisees by 50 per cent over the next year. Ashley Law has 40 practices and around 80 registered individuals and current franchise agreements will remain in place.

Managing director Jock Cassidy says no money changed hands as part of the deal and he will remain in his current role.

Cassidy says the deal will allow his advisers access to Intrinsic's training facilities to reach diploma level as well as help with recruitment issues and creating an exit proposition.

Intrinsic was set up as a multi-tie operation in March 2006. It has over 1,200 advisers and bought Mint last February in its first move into IFA distribution.

Cassidy says: "After launching our franchise proposition 15 years ago, it has proven extremely successful in the IFA marketplace. Combining it with the scale of the Intrinsic Group means Ashley Law is ideally positioned to continue that success."

Intrinsic Group chairman Lord Leitch says: "For a major IFA business such as Ashley Law to join us demonstrates the strength of our offer."
