Zurich UK Life launches IFA advisory panel

Zurich UK Life has launched an IFA advisory panel to host debate about the challenges facing the insurance market.

The panel will be chaired by Zurich intermediary sales director Richard Howells and consists of eight advisers and “additional guests” from Zurich’s management team.

The founding members of the panel are Blue Sky Financial Planning managing director Gary Neild, Clarkson Hill Group managing director Mike Robinson, KML  Financial Services director David Watson, Pearson Jones client services director John Metcalf, Timothy James & Partners associate director Andy Bracken, Towergate Financial technical director Mitch Hopkinson, Wise Financial Consulting director Gavin Wise, K D Wright director Marcus Maisey and Wyatt IFA principal Robert Wyatt.

Zurich says members of the panel will be invited to provide regular feedback on all aspects of Zurich’s proposition.

Membership is for a fixed period of one year, when Zurich will review the current membership in line with the panel’s original objectives.

The panel will meet on a quarterly basis at Zurich’s offices in Cheltenham.

Howells says: “As a provider we are passionate about supporting IFAs and it’s important we understand how we can continue to do that effectively.

“By setting up the advisory panel, in conjunction with several respected IFAs from across the country, we are confident we will get a clear understanding of their concerns which will help inform our long term business strategy as well as develop our proposition in light of adviser needs.”
