Aldermore has appointed former Wave chief executive Colin Snowdon to look at prospective business opportunities in the residential mortgage market.
Snowdon is joined by former Wave director of product development and credit Richard Spinks. Merrill Lynch closed its UK mortgage lending subsidiaries Wave and Mortgages plc to new business in 2008.
Santander UK director of mortgages Nici Audhlam-Gardiner has been moved to the role of director of banking at the lender. Director of commercial product management Phil Cliff will replace her as director of mortgages.
Personal Touch Financial Services chairman Martin Wilson and his wife devel-opment director for DAs Amanda Wilson have stepped down from the board and will take on an ambassadorial role for the network. The pair remain shareholders. Martin Wilson says the internal investigation, which saw him suspended last November, was concluded without disciplinary action and he says this has no bearing on his decision.
The Mortgage Alliance has appointed Jaime Harris as a sales consultant to join its London mortgage desk. Harris joins from Abbey, where she worked for seven years, originally in the banks branches, before becoming sales development consultant. Smith & Williamson head of valuations Ian Burns has been made independent valuer for Dunfermline Building Society’s compen-sation arrangements, which were put in place following the resolution of Dunfermline last March.
