Towergate acquires A1 Financial Services

Towergate Financial, the financial advice business of Towergate Group, has acquired Wetherby-based firm A1 Financial Services.
A1, which provides advice on pensions, mortgages, financial planning, and life assurance, will fall under Towergate Financial’s North region under the leadership of regional managing director Simon Jones.
A1 founder Mel Jones will work alongside Jones to help transfer the business.
Jones says: “This is the right decision for our clients who will now benefit from the great products and service which Towergate can deliver.”
Towergate Financial business development director Dan Saulter says: “We are delighted that A1 has joined forces with Towergate at a time of great change for our industry.
“A1 is certainly a great addition to our stable of high quality businesses.”
Towergate revealed in July that it was in talks to acquire four firms.
