Signature tunes into portfolios
Stockbrokers Rowan Dartington is setting up a stand-alone company offering a managed portfolio service for IFAs.
The service, called Signature, will also be available to platform providers and other investment professionals. It will offer access to a whole of market range of funds and a range of different management approaches.
Signature managing director Andrew Morris says: “Signature’s launch reflects the significant demand in the UK market for retail distribution review-compliant investment management services. We provide a truly independent, bespoke portfolio management service which means that the IFAs can focus on their clients safe in the knowledge that they are receiving the best advice.”
Independent wrap consultant Stan Kirk says: “These sorts of tools have to be at the right price as there are already too many overpriced propositions.
“Pricing is going to be a more prominent factor due to the FSA drawing attention to cost comp-arisons on transfers and the danger is, no matter how exciting the proposition is, price matters.”
